"Next step" Navigation and Seamanship course

The Essential Navigation & Seamanship course is a short course aimed at anyone who has done some sailing and would like to increase their knowledge. It is a short course but packs a lot in -some theory, lots of practical and a certificate at the end! It offers a great introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new or inexperienced skippers and crew, and those wanting to refresh their skills. In fact it's for anyone interested in sailing, motor boating, sea angling or diving.

HYC is running this course in August. The schedule is as follows: Sunday 20th August (10-4pm), Tuesday 22nd (7.30-10pm), Friday 25th (7.30-10pm) and Sunday 27th (10-4pm). Places are limited and first preference will be given to HYC members and to those who have completed Adult Sail Training in HYC.

It's a highly informative course with lots of opportunities for you to put your newfound knowledge into practice.

Cost is €175 which includes course materials and lunch on both Sundays. The course is an RYA shore-based course and will be delivered by Seacraft. Booking can be made with Karen in the HYC office ([email protected]).
