Santa visits HYC
Last Sunday and after an arduous journey through snow and ice (despite global warming) from the North Pole, Santa finally set foot on HYC soil, to be greeted by Rear Commodore Neil Murphy and an abundance of starry-eyed children. Shivering and in need of a hit of decent Irish whiskey, Santa decided to politely decline, at least until after his highly charged and expectant fans received their presents.
The children made their way to the fabulous grotto and not only received their presents but were photographed with Santa by John Deane.
Meanwhile the parents munched their way through a delicious lunch, organised by caterer Sandra and her own team of attentive elves. Santa was again organised by Kevin Burke and his amazing team of helpers including musicians, grotto builders, elves, water-sleigh crew and photographer. All in all, it's now a great annual event in HYC ‘s busy social calendar.
