Attn: Round the Island race participants

The weather conditions forecast for Saturday, March 11^th, and the sea conditions after the recent onshore winds, make it unsafe to have a dinghy fleet race around Ireland’s Eye. A decision will be taken on Saturday morning about whether it is possible to hold the Round the Island race on a course laid in Howth Sound, the race area usually used for the Howth YC Dinghy Frostbite Series, as provided for in Clause 5 of the Sailing Instructions. The Sailing Instructions are posted on the Howth YC website in the ‘Open Events’ section.
