A dense fog and no wind at 0900 greeted the competitors arriving for Day 4 of the Autumn League.
After a 1 hour postponement conditions did not improve so it was decided to cancel racing.
There was an unexpected rush for breakfasts in the Dining Room when sailors who usually gave it a miss
took advantage of the postponement hour to have breakfast.
As you are all aware by now, the car park beside the Children's Playground on the seafront is closed for work on the sewer pipe line from Howth to Sutton. Knowing this, many sailors arrived earlier than usual expecting parking difficulty. However, the fog reduced the general traffic to Howth so they had no trouble finding a parking slot.
Two more race days remain; Sunday 14th and the final race on Saturday 20th October.
