Security
Access to the Clubhouse or Marina is gained by using the intercom system located at the main entrance and the Marina gate. Security Keys are available for visitors at the Marina office for a deposit of £5.
Safety
Safety features are displayed on the Marina plan. Please Insist That Children Wear Suitable Lifejackets On The Marina And When On Board. Please ensure that your boat is correctly moored and locked up when you are not on board.
Please do not tie warps or leave gear that will
interfere with pedestrian traffic on the Marina.
Fishing Vessels
Fishing Vessels are constrained by their draught in Howth Sound and the harbour entrance and have right of way over other vessels.
Hygiene
Boats must not discharge toilets into the Harbour or the Marina: Clubhouse facilities are available 24 hours a day.
Rubbish
Bins are provided at the top of the Marina bridge. Separate bins are provided for cans, glass and plastics. There is a waste oil tank situated in the service yard at the rear of the Club.
Toilets and Showers
Toilet and shower facilities are available 24 hours a day for visiting boats.
Laundry
The Laundry is available 24 hours a day. The machines are token-operated and tokens must be purchased from the Marina office.
Trolleys
Trolleys are provided for the use of berth holders.
Fiber-glass trolleys are for clean use only and steel trolleys
for oil, diesel, batteries etc. Please ensure that trolleys
are returned to the top of the Marina bridge after use.
Water and Electricity
Metered 220 volt electricity is available on all of the berths. Connection must be arranged through the Marina Office. Charges for electricity are available from the Marina Office.
Please note that in the interest of safety,
only 110 volt power tools should be used, leads and
transformers are available from the Marina Office.
Water is available at convenient locations throughout the Marina. Please ensure that taps are turned off and hoses are replaced neatly after use.
Halyards
For the comfort of other marina users, please ensure that you tie out all your halyards. If there is an offending boat berthed near you, please contact one of the Marina staff.
Battery Charger
A battery charger may be hired from the Marina Office.
Fuel
Diesel fuel is available at the crane pontoon 24 hours a day. Petrol and other fuels are available from local garages which are only a few minutes walk away. LPG Gas is available locally.
Crane And Cradle
Lifting services can be arranged through the Marina office. The crane is capable of lifting 15 tonnes. Charges for the crane and the cradle can be obtained from the Marina Office.
Divers
Details of local divers are available from the Marina Office.
Drying-Out Pad
There is a drying out pad situated at the Southern end of the Marina, please contact one of the marina staff if you wish to avail of this facility.
Telephones
A payphone is situated on the ground floor at the entrance lobby to the clubhouse from the boat park. Please note that the payphone accepts Euro coins only.
Slipway
There is a slipway located near the crane platform which may be used for launching and retrieving small craft. There is also a public slipway adjacent to the Marina.
Catering and Bar Facilities
The club catering and Bar facilities are detailed under Catering and Bar on the main page. Neat dress is preferred in the Dining Room.
Booking for Friday and Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch is advisable.
Ice
Ice in small quantities may be obtained from the bar staff. Large quantities may be purchased from the Ice Plant on the West Pier.
Pets
Pets should be exercised outside the Yacht Club grounds. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times within the confines of Club property.
Under no circumstances may pets be brought into the Clubhouse.
Due to Rabies restrictions, pets from
outside the U.K. and Ireland may not be brought ashore.
