It was well attended in excellent golfing weather. The winner was Pat Cody with 41 points. The runner up - Ronnie Dalglish - also won the Golfer of the Year. Michael Martin retained the Bob Fannin Trophy, and Dudley Hudson retained the Horn Trophy. Michael Martin is to play Bernardine Jennings in the final of the Singles Matchplay Championship. Andrew Knowles - founder member of the Society and its first President - will be next year's Captain Billy Quinn   How to join   All members and staff of Howth Yacht Club are eligible and welcome to join the Society, whose aims are to promote the game of golf and to foster comradeship and sportsmanship.
