Coastal Navigation for Small Boats {booking form - Coastal Navigation Course}
This is an ISA approved course under the ISA Cruising Scheme.
The aim of the course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely navigate a boat by day or by night in familiar coastal waters.
It is intended for cruiser sailors who want to brush up their navigation skills and for dingy sailors as preparation for:
ISA Dingy Instructor Pre- Entry
ISA Adventure Sailing
ISA Advanced Powerboat Certificate
You receive full colour training notes and two ISA training charts. You will need a notepad, pencil, rubber and Portland Plotter. A set of dividers would be useful but not essential.

Assessment to make sure that a sailor's personal sailing, knowledge of the sport are at the required standard to become a Kites & Wires /Advanced Boat Handling Instructor. A pre entry course is a mandatory requirement before taking part in a Kites & Wires and / or Club Racing Coach training course.

ISA club racing coach course qualification allows coaches to deliver ISA go Racing 1 and Advanced Boat Handling courses at an ISA recognised centre.
Pre Requisites:
Logged racing experience within the last 2 seasons:
20 races
8 in open events away from home waters
15 races as helm
2 races logged as assistant OOD
ISA dingy instructor
With at least one seasons instructing experience
ISA club racing coach Pre entry
Current Emergency care cert (first aid)
Safety boat qualification
