ISA Dinghy Instructor Pre-Assessment
|
|
This Spring HYC will run dinghy pre-assessment training and assessment. Assessment will be carried by Graeme Grant on April 17th and in advance a number of training sessions have been proposed.
We appreciate that students taking the assessment will have a variety of sailing experiences. To allow for this, we are providing two options.
Option 1
For those students who feel they do not require to built up their experience this winter on a two man boat, we’re offering 1 days training with on March 20th, 1 day training with Graeme Grant March 27th and assessment on April 17th.
Option 2
For those who wish to supplement their sailing with a number of half day sessions on Feb 27th, March 6th, March 13th and April 10th.
The maximum number of students that can be accessed on the 17th of April is eight. Students are required to provide their own dinghy. As a ‘wire’ is required, Feva’s are not appropriate. Participants must be 16 years of age and be competent sailors who have completed at least ISA levels 1 to 3.
The cost for the two options outlined above will be on a cost recovery basis but option 1 will be between 159 and 80 depending on numbers.
The document below contains assessment criteria:
